2006
Josh starts as a sole trader. Mostly residential IT consulting with a few tiny business projects from time to time. Still a barista to make ends meet.
JMR IT Incorporated
2012
JMR IT (Josh’s initials – creative huh!?) is founded. Business money is separated from Beer money, things are getting a bit more serious.
West End Office
2013
JMR IT moves in to a 15 square meter office in West End. First employee starts on a casual basis and moves to full time over the next 6 months.
Paddington Office
2016
JMR IT Moves into the Paddington office. The blue door trend on Latrobe Terrace is started. The team expands to 3 with the introduction of Dan in 2017.
Monocera® is born
2019
JMR IT is reborn as Monocera® (greek for Unicorn). The team moves to the Petrie Terrace Office and expands to 6.
Tethr™ is born
Tethr™ Meta-Link is born to facilitate instant seamless failover between any connectivity solution (but particularly well suited to Starlink®
C.A.R.L.® Enters the Chat
C.A.R.L.® (our Cybersecurity and Resillience Lifecycle) is introduced to help our clients improve on Essential 8 baselines and stay secure.
Substation Expansion
2024
Monocera® expands to 15. EOS is being implemented and the office expanded to lower ground of the Substation to manage stock and project workspace.
